Sly Cooper 1

I could write a lot about this game but I don’t want to. It was very enjoyable but kinda ran poorly on native PS2 hardware, which I wasn’t expecting. The worlds and levels were all very creative, and the script (characters, jokes etc) was really fun. Structure and general gameplay reminded me of Spyro, where everything dies in one hit and levels are little linear zones that explore one or two concepts/challenges. Unlocking abilities per world kept things fresh but mostly boiled down to pressing circle during certain segments. The stealth angle was very downplayed, it’s more for vibes than anything. Vibes in general are very high throughout.

Score: 2/3. Recommend, but only if you are interested. It’s fun and does some cool things, but probably nothing you haven’t seen before.
